CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL Visit the memorial and museum, built in honor of the fearless Sioux Chief whose renwon is derived from the Battle of the Little Bighorn. MOUNT RUSHMORE NATIONAL MEMORIAL Visit the memorial, featuring monumental likenesses of four U.S. Presidents. (B)
Day 3: Rapid City–deadwood–sheridan
RAPID CITY Scenic drive through Black Hills National Forest en route to Deadwood. DEADWOOD Tour historic Main Street with a Local Guide and hear stories of legendary characters that contributed to the town’s history, such as Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, and Potato Creek Johnny. Scenic drive through the Black Hills to Sheridan, located at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains. SHERIDAN Dinner at a family-run local restaurant known for its Rocky Mountain hospitality. (B,D)
